To get a head start on your holiday shopping, this year our annual Holiday Boutique will take place before Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 15th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with our “Carter House by Candlelight” taking place Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This year’s Boutique will feature many new vendors, in addition to our best-selling vendors from previous years, who will be selling a wide variety of items suitable for holiday shoppers, including clothing, home goods, jewelry, toys, arts & crafts and floral arrangements plus award winning jams, chocolates and baked goods.

On Sunday evening, April 7, 2019, from 6:00pm to 8:30pm come dine and socialize with your family, friends and neighbors at the 32nd Annual “Taste of Summit” hosted by the Grand Summit Hotel located at 570 Springfield Avenue in Summit. The “Taste of Summit” is a gourmet extravaganza featuring more than 20 of Summit’s finest restaurants and food merchants. Each restaurant will be serving delicious “tastes” showcasing their special dishes spanning many cuisines, including Italian, Japanese, American and Mexican. There will also be scrumptious desserts from Summit’s finest bakers and a cash bar.

The Carter House Museum will be open for visitors to tour the house and our collection of Summit artifacts, showing the city’s history from its earliest days before the American Revolution, to the 1830s, when the first train arrived, up to the present time.
Tour other historic buildings throughout Union County, including Summit's Twin Maples and the Summit Playhouse.
